I graduated from the University of Minnesota with my B.A. in Sociology. I began working with individuals who experience developmental and intellectual disabilities in 2007 and have been in this field ever since. I quickly learned that service to others came naturally to me. Around 2016 I felt the calling to leave Minnesota so I packed my bags and eventually landed in Portland Oregon. My first job in Portland was as a Community Support Specialist and I was inspired with how customers decided who to hire as their support worker. I loved seeing individuals feel empowered in deciding what activities they engaged in.  As time went on and I saw how people grew in many areas of their life I realized I wanted to create something of my own. I knew it was time to align myself with that calling I had heard years before.
